Overview

Learn to use your computer, email and the Internet more safely by adopting the right cybersecurity habits and reflexes. This training helps you avoid the most common mistakes and build secure everyday behaviours with ease.

Training Objectives

• Identify common threats such as phishing, malware and ransomware.
• Implement essential protections on your workstation and digital devices.
• Adopt good habits for browsing the web, managing passwords and using email securely.
• Better protect your personal data, privacy and everyday digital activities.

Target Audience

Training open to everyone: employees, agents, staff, students, freelancers or individuals who use a computer, email or smartphone and want to improve their everyday digital security — no technical background required.

Prerequisites

Ability to read, write and understand English. Basic computer literacy for everyday use.

• Introduction to data security.
• Securing operating systems.
• Malware and antivirus.
• Internet security.
• Social media security.
• Securing email communications.
• Securing mobile devices.
• Securing the Cloud.
• Securing network connections.
• Data backup and disaster recovery.
• Securing IoT devices and gaming consoles.
• Securing remote work.

Duration & Format

3 days, in-person or remote, in small groups. Course materials in French provided, along with a hands-on workshop. Final certification exam available in French.
